Cirrus Gallery, an internationally-recognized contemporary art gallery and fine art edition publisher, specializing in art from the 1970s to the present, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join its small, flexible team in downtown Los Angeles.

Responsibilities include conducting sales, strategizing exhibition programming, oversight of exhibition calendar, exhibition preparation and coordination, widening the gallery's represented artists, and staying current on their respective art practices, as well as preparation, coordination, and sales for Art Fairs, (2–3 fairs/year, some travel required), in close coordination with the Director and gallery staff. Administrative duties include the scheduling and managing of openings and special events (some evenings required), creation and management of consignment and loan agreements, artist communication and follow-up, and initiating and arranging studio visits in concert with the Director.

Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining online viewing rooms, strategizing and implementing marketing materials and social media content, and drafting of press releases, e-newsletters, and catalogs. In concert with the website management team and gallery staff, the Associate will strategize, schedule, and prepare materials to keep the gallery website current, and manage the Inventory and Contacts database. Some light art handling and storage tasks are also required.

Necessary skills include the ability to manage multiple projects at once, both independently and collaboratively, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and strong written and verbal skills. Qualified applicants will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and creativity are valued, and be extremely organized, autonomous and have a personable demeanor. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 10AM–5PM, with occasional evenings and travel required. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
Master's degree in art-related field
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
2+ years of gallery and art fair experience in exhibition and 
2+ sales-focused roles years of gallery experience in social media 
2+ content, marketing materials, and e-newsletters
Experience with database management, PC platform, Word, InDesign and Photoshop
