Press Release

Cirrus is pleased to present new works by Math Bass, Brice Bischoff & Roger Herman. Additional works by David Austen, John Baldessari, Mathew Brannon, William Leavitt, Tyler Matthew Oyer, and Jonas Wood will also be available.

The works presented will focus on the notion of containment: of information, everyday objects, and narrative. The booth will feature a new suite of three prints by LA-based artist Math Bass, whose work has recently been selected by Jeffrey Deitch and Larry Gagosian for inclusion in ‘Abstract / Not Abstract’ taking place during Art Basel, Miami Beach this year. In the suite, Bass’ recombines a recognizable lexicon of forms, the prints becoming containers of code for the viewer to decipher. Similarly, Jonas Wood’s pots, Mathew Brannon’s bottles, and several rare works on paper by Ed Ruscha discuss narrative as contained by everyday objects.

UNITITLED, Miami Beach will take place December 6th-10th on the beach at Ocean Drive and 12th Streets. Galleries preview takes place Tuesday, December 5th for invited guests. For additional information regarding the works on view, please contact:
