Cirrus is excited to announce three new releases with Farah Atassi. Known for her geometric, figurative paintings that reference Picasso's modernism and that counter their two dimensionality with thick layers of paint; these prints, in absence of the paint's materiality, re-contextualize Atassi's use of space in the print medium. The prints are based on three homonymous paintings: Model in Studio No. 4 (2019), Model in Studio No. 6 (2020) and Seated Woman (2020).

Farah Atassi (b. 1981, Brussels, Belgium) is a French painter known for blending the languages of Cubism and radical abstraction, textile patterning, and postmodern design in richly textured, boldly geometric canvases. Atassi twists classical painting tropes, recasting the history of the still life, the nude, the bather, and the artist studio within her own matrix of references. Built up with layers of oil paint, her compositions are noted for their sharply graphic quality and pictorial architecture. Recent solo shows include Le Consortium, Dijon (2019); Musée des Beaux-Arts, Cambrai (2018); Museum Permeke, Jabbeke (2018); François Ghebaly, Los Angeles (2020), Almine Rech, New York (2019); and Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp (2015). Her works are held in the public collections of Musée d’art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Centre Georges Pompidou, among others.
